Gambel Quails

 also known as the Arizona Quail are recognized with a plumb topknot, black masks and colorful feathers.  They are nervous aggressive birds and have the capability to fly but only for a short period of time.  Incubation period is 21 to 23 days compare to the Coturnix Quail which can take 16 to 17 days.  The Gambel quail’s are a joy to listen to with there loud ka-KAA-ka sounds.
